I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
